Kareena Kapoor On Aamir Khan: Kareena Kapoor Khan recently joined stars like Vicky Kaushal, Shabana Azmi, Rajkummar Rao and Anna Ben for a roundtable discussion with The Hollywood Reporter India. During the conversation, Kareena revealed that the flop of Laal Singh Chaddha had a deep impact on her and her co-actor Aamir Khan.
Aamir Khan was heartbroken when ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ flopped
Kareena said she was “most proud” of making the film, which she described as “beautiful and honest”. Praising Aamir, he called him a “giant and legend”. “Of course, he was devastated,” he revealed. Kareena also mentioned about her meeting with Aamir at an event, where he jokingly told her, “The picture didn’t work for us, will you talk to me?” After her disappointment, Kareena also expressed her gratitude for her role in the film. The actress said, “I think Roopa has done more for me than Singham (Again).”
When Shabana Azmi asked her to elaborate, Kareena said her character Rupa was beautifully written by Advait Chandan, which allowed her to delve deeper into the role. Kareena said that the film + commercial was not a blockbuster but Laal Singh Chaddha was made “with all my heart”. He said, “Everyone gave it their best, and we didn’t think it would reach Rs 500 crore. It was about the honesty of the story.”
Kareena Kapoor was pregnant for the second time during the shooting of the film
Kareena also shared a personal story of finding out about her pregnancy with her second son Jeh during the making of the film. When he told this news to Aamir, he had already shot 60 percent of the film. Saif Ali Khan had asked Kareena Kapoor to tell this to Aamir Khan. Whereas Aamir Khan assured him, “I am happy for you. We will wait for you and we will complete the film together.” Kareena said, “This made me realize that there are people who really value you and your decisions.
